divine inner light collective is a constellation of mindfulness- and arts- based offerings for integrative mental health & wellbeing.

welcome, and thank you for showing up for your healing, mental health and wellbeing. i'm river (zahra "river" chevannes), MSW, LCSW, offering telehealth throughout the state of massachusetts. i also offer support groups, workshops, yoga, meditation and consulting services.

i come to the sacred work & practices of healing, wellbeing and mindfulness as a spiritual warrior. i am a first generation afro-caribbean alchemist, artist, facilitator and integrative therapist.

i offer a collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based approach, welcoming all parts of you to be seen, heard and understood. from personal experience, supported by professional training, i specialize in mindfulness practice as a refuge– a loving, kind and compassionate space to reclaim and connect with the sanctity of our inner divinity. working together, i will regard you with respect, compassionate listening, care & support, honesty & transparency, confidentiality, and accountability - welcome and open to feedback on how i may best support you.

i use trauma-informed, non-pathologizing and somatic approaches to provide care and support for divine beings who are suffering. specifically, i utilize mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (mbct) and internal family systems (ifs) modalities to bring awareness to the present moment (helping clients return to the present moment when worrying about the future, and making space to heal past wounds and reconnect to their divine, whole, sacred Selves). rooted in values-based practice, i believe every human being is worthy of dignity, respect, support, care, and the time it takes to heal.
